Pistin toisen levyistä käynnistymään ensimmäisenä BIOSista ja irrotin varmuuden vuoksi vanhan levyn asennuksen ajaksi irti emolevystä. Asennus meni itse asiassa melko helposti ja nyt on menossa sen konffauksen opiskelu.

Openfiler on monipuolinen käyttis, josta saa päälle mm. SMB/CIFS:n, NFSv3:n sekä HTTP/WebDav , FTP ja Rsync -serverit. Siinä voi käyttää LDAP autentikointia (sisäistä tai ulkoista) ja siinä on iSCSI tuki. Lisäksi siinä on softaRAID tuki (0 - 6) sekä se tukee LVM levynhallintaa. Eli tästä voi lukea, että itselläni on aika paljon vielä opiskeltavaa... :lol2:

RAIDista en vielä ole päättänyt - luultavasti jätän RAIDin tekemättä ja otan backupeja näistä tiedostoista, mutta vielä en ole ihan varma tuosta.

Olen ajatellut asentaa levylle Openfilerin. Toinen vaihtoehto on FreeNAS, mutta taidan testata ensin Openfileria. Pitää vielä tehdä niistä sitten RAID1, ja sitten olisikinn uusi 1,5 TB:n raidattu levypalvelin valmis. Katsotaan, kuinka äijän käy... :-P
