Muutamia varottavia esimerkkejä olen lukenut muillakin palstoilla. Kun poistaa jokun ohjelman järjestelmästä, Mandriva tutkii riippuvuuksia ja ilmoittaa kasan paketteja jääneen "orvoiksi" eli turhiksi. En vieläkään tiedä, miten jotkut tärkeätkin paketit tulee tuolle listalle, mutta jotkin ovat raportoineet koko järjestelmän tulleen käyttökelvottomaksi (esim. kde-paketteja poistettu), kun on vastattu kyllä...

Kun ohjelmien poiston jälkeen Mandriva ilmoittaa joidenkin pakettien olevan turhia ja kysyy poistetaanko ne, katsokaa tarkkaan, mitä paketteja listalla on. Joskus turvallisempaa on vastata kieltävästi poistopyyntöön.
