Tämän ketjun voi varmaan poistaa koska kokeilut jäi kesken eikä tuloksiin keretty päästä.

Monet mokkulat/nettitikut/mitälienevät näkyvät Windows-koneeseen kytkettynä ensin USB-muistina, jolta ajureiden/ohjelman asennus käynnistyy automaattisesti. Ajureiden asentamisen jälkeen USB-palikan "moodia" vaihdetaan ohjelmallisesti ajureiden avulla ja tämän jälkeen palikka näkyy varsinaisena modeemina. Tuo usb_modeswitch avustaa saman asian hoitamisessa Linuxissa..

P.S. Tuo paketti ipw2200-firmware sisältää Intelin langattoman verkkokortin firmwaren ja siitä ei ole apua ko. ongelmaan.
