Lataa viimeisin versio FF 3.5:sta download.
Pura paketti mihin haluat, oma kotihakemisto on hyvä paikka. Mene muodostuneseen firefox/ hakemistoon ja klikkaa hiirellä firefox tiedostoa. vastaa suorita kun kysytään mitä tehdään.

Tähän firefoxiin voi tehdä kuvakkeen työpöydälle ja/tai menu valikkoihin jos tahtoo.
Firefoxin käynnistys komento on komentoriviltä /home/user/firefox/firefox normaalina käyttäjänä(olettaen että paketti purettiin kotihakemistoon.).

Gnomeen osaan neuvoa miten kuvakkeet tehään, mutta en kde:seen, täälä foorumilla pitäisi olla kerrottuna jossain miten se tehdään molempiin.

Itsellä on tämä tapa käytössä firefoxin suhteen.

Yrität asentaa kovin vanhaa Firefoxia (ja siksi asennus oletettavasti epäonnistuu), 2009.1:een löytyy päivityksistä versio 3.0.11. Asenna Firefox komentorivillä komentamalla pääkäyttäjänä urpmi firefox ja saat aikaiseksi enemmän tietoa mahdollisissa virhetapauksissa.
