Firefox 3.6 saavutti heti paremman tuloksen mm. SunSpiderin testissä(n. 9000 ms) vaikka se edelleenkin saa siinä uskomattoman heikot tulokset Mandriva KDE:lla. Nyt odotellaan sitten päivittymistä 3.6.3:een.

Mandriva 2010 on ollut sen verran vakaa, etten nyt erityisesti perheen muiden jäsentenkään takia halua sotkea hyvin toimivaa selainta päivityksellä jonka saatan muutenkin sössiä. Minusta tämä 2010.0-versio on ollut myönteinen kokemus - päinvastoin kuin SUSE 11.2 joka oli suuri pettymys. Liekö jotain ongelmia tuon live-cd:n polton yhteydessä mutta yhtä tervanjuontia koko homma oli Mandrivaan verrattuna. :bigsmile:

Epävirallisia ja tutkimattomia (tukemattomia) polkuja seuraten löytyy Firefox 3.6 osoitteesta http://n1.nux.se/work/firefox/2010.0/. Kyseisestä osoitteesta FF3.6 löytyy 32- ja 64-bittisenä. Tuolta ladattaessa pitää varsinaisen Firefoxin lisäksi ladata paketti libxulrunner1.9.2 (ja asentaa se riippuvuuksien täyttämiseksi ennen Firefoxia ja mahdollista kielipakettia). Asennus tietenkin käyttäjän omalla vastuulla.
