Grubin valikossa on nyt valinta Muistitesti. Käynnistä se ja anna pyöriä niin että testit on ainakin kertaalleen ajettu (100%). Kestää noin puoli tuntia/1GB. Ajamista voi jatkaa pidempäänkin, mutta pahat virheet löytynee jo tuollakin.
Toinen harkittava ohjelma on gsmartcontrol joka on graafinen käyttöliittymä ohjelmalle smartmontools. Asennuksen jälkeen löytyy valikosta Työkalut --> Järjestelmätyökalut. Sillä voi testata kiintolevyn kunnon.
