Hankkin nvidian näytönohjaimen ja käytin mandrivan päivitys toimintoa dvd:ltä, jotta sain mokoman toimimaan. Sit tuli pikku propleema käytän gnome nykyään ja gnomen käynistyessään ruudun resoluutio on 1024x768 vaikka pitäisi olla 1280x1024. saan valittua haluamiani resoluution mandrivan controlcenteristä ja sitten pitää kirjautua ulos jotta tuo asetus astuu voimaan. Tipahdan komento riville enkä kdm tilaan. Mites täältä komento riviltä saa gnomen käynistettyä? gdm komento ei suostu toimimaan ja startx komento aloittaa kde istunnon ja jos reboottaan koneen niin kdm menee päälle ja valittuani gnomen ja gnomen käynistettyä niin ruudun reso on taas tuo 1024x768 . Kde:ssä toimii tämä isompi resoluutio ihan oletuksena.

KDE käynnistyy myös komennolla "kde start" joten loogisesti ajatellen Gnome saattaisi käynnistyä komennolla "gnome start". Kokemusta ei ole kun en Gnomea ole käyttänyt.

koitin tuota gnomestart käskyä ja ei toiminut herjasi fatal erroria
huomasin tuossa tuossa alku käynistyessä että olis vielllä käytössä ati:n kernelli moduuli tai vastaava mites toi vaihdetaan nvidian vastaavaksi?
