Asennettuani Mandriva 2009.0 KDE4:n läppäriini, prosessorituuletin pauhaa ikävän kovaa koko ajan.

Alapaneelin oikeaan laitaan asentuneessa PowerSave -appletissa tulee joka kerta käynnistyksen jälkeen päälle Set CPU Frequency Policy -asetukseen Dynamic (aggressive) -valinta, vaikka vaihdan sen Dynamic (conservative) -tai Powersave -valintaa (joista kumpikaan ei kyllä vähennä tuulettimen häiritsevän kovaa ääntä).
Verrattuna samassa läppärissäni kokeilussa olevaan Windows 7 beta:an - ja jopa Vistaan - tuo tuuletin huutaa Mandrivassa paljon kovempaa.

En löytänyt Mandrivan Control Centeristä tässä 2009.0 KDE4 -asennuksessa mitään kohtaa tuon säätämiseksi.

Samanlaisista ongelmista on valitettu ainakin Fedoran sivuilla, joten olisiko kyseessä bugi (sama versio kernelistä ja acpid:stä)?
Toisaalta olisiko apua noista konekohtaisista ohjelmista.

Noille kannettaville on merkkikohtaisia ohjelmia joilla kyseisen koneen toimintoja voi säätää. Tarkemmin en ole niihin tutustunut, ja varmaan ohjelmissa on erojakin. Tässä muutamia
