Olen uusimassa pc:ni ja suunnitelmissa on asentaa järjestelmä SSD kiintolevylle ja /home omalle HDD levylle, onnistuuko? :unsure:

Mahdollinen swap-osio kannattaa myös sijoittaa eri levylle, siis pois SSD-levyltä. Vaikka tuon saman levyn alkuun mihin /home-osio tulee.
"Tekevälle sattuu!!!" sano sonni, ku traktorin raiskas...

Levy on nyt hankittu ja samalla tuli kyllä uusittua koko kone mutta kyllä järjestelmä käynnistyy tosi nopeasti ja ohjelmat myös. :-)
Tein ohjeen mukaan ja laitoin swapin /homen eteen. Onkohan se swappi tarpeellinen jos on muistia esim. 4 gt:vua?

Suora vastaus ei itsellä on läppärissä 4gigaa ja swappia ei lainkaan ei ole kertaakaan loppunu muisti kesken eli taitaa olla aika turha/vanhentunut systeemi tuo swap nykyään kun joka koneessa on 4gigaa tai yli muistia ehkä jollain ihan vanhalla koneella kykisin sen päälle vielä mutten uusilla
