MSN-messager lienee Windows-ohjelma, jolla nykynuoriso pikaviestii. Kai sillä on vastine Mandrivassa?

Asensin pojan perheelle Mandriva 2008 KDE Suomen internetyhteyksiä varten. Mikrossa on myös Windows, mutta sillä ei pääse Nettiin. Nyt kuulema 10 vuotias haluaisi Windowssiin nettiyhteyden (+viirustorjunnan yms.), koska "Messanger toimii vain Windowssissa". Miten lie :?:

aMSN on MSN Messenger klooni joka toimii myös Linuxeilla. Löytyy urpmi:llä.



Suomenkielikin löytyy. Parantelin aMSN:n suomennosta jokunen aika sitten (toki parannettavaa löytyy vielä rutkasti)...uusimman kielitiedoston saa tarvittaessa pyynnöstä allekirjoittaneelta (en ole jaksanut toimittaa sitä vielä aMSN:n kehittäjille)...

Kokeile vaihtaa lähteitä. Minä olen niitä joitain kertoja vaihtanut ja saanut paremmin toimivat yhteydet.

Jotkut lähteet ovat ruuhkaisempia kuin toiset. Sitten niissä on myös paljon eroja, kuinka usein niitä päivitetän, joten hyvän lähteen valinta on joskus arpapeliä.
